How To Talk About Your Art: Workshops for Trans and BIPOC Artists
Centered around the needs of trans, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming artists* working in a variety of mediums. We’ll share our knowledge about how to seek funding while also giving tips on producing your work yourself.
This workshop will cover:
Where to look for, track, and seek funding. We have resource sheets, and facilitators will talk about their experiences, successes, and misses.
How to talk about your art. We’ll workshop how to write about your work and yourself for funding applications, marketing materials, and more. Facilitators will support participants in crafting their narratives.
Monday, April 7 from 7-9pm at the Gerber/Hart Library and Archives
*While this workshop centers trans artists specifically, cis queer and BIPOC folks are also welcome.

Bountiful Booty Clothing Swap
One queer's trash is another queer's treasure! This meetup is a timely spring closet cleaning clothing swap in which queer folks across the city have the opportunity to acquire and donate gender-affirming apparel and other attire at no cost. What is left over from the exchange will be donated to our community partner Reign’s Rack.
When: April 19th 3-7pm

Trans Scribe A New Works Festival
Now more than ever, trans art must be created, cultivated, and produced. That is why we are excited to announce our upcoming new works festival, Trans Scribe! This festival will feature new works written, composed, and directed by trans/nonbinary artists. Scroll down to find how to submit your works or apply to direct.
